The Ekonaut organization has announced a series of lectures and workshops on gardening for this fall as well, which will prepare participants to create new gardens in October, when it is the best time for such an activity. During this program, beginning gardeners will receive basic information on all the steps they need to take in the garden in order to soon have their fruits. The program will be led by Vladimir Milutinović, landscape architect.
Through three online lectures and three workshops at the Faculty of Forestry, participants will learn what is needed to start a garden and make a detailed plan of the species to plant in the garden during the fall in order to have a garden during the winter as well. By applying the knowledge gained in this program, future gardeners will have every bed filled with edible plants during the next year, and the garden will be decorated with flowers.
The lectures will cover a variety of topics useful to the novice gardener and introduce the basics of this rewarding and inspiring hobby. To participate in lectures, you need to register using the online form below, after which you will receive an access link for the lecture you have registered for. The number of people who can attend the online lectures is limited to 100 participants, and if there is a lot of interest, the participants who applied first will be accepted. Registration for the lectures is open until the day they are held and is open to all participants without paying a participation fee.

The workshop program is designed as a course consisting of three workshops that will be held on Saturdays in a special educational space within the Faculty of Forestry. Beginners in the gardening adventure through this program will have the opportunity to get practical knowledge that will serve as the main support in establishing their edible garden. Registration is done through a separate formand the number of people who can attend this program is limited to 30. The deadline for registration to the workshop program is September 25. Notification of application status will be sent on September 27 to all who applied, and those who were accepted will receive additional information about the program then. Attendance at all three workshops is mandatory for program participants.
Participants of the workshop program will receive seed material that they will be able to use in their future garden, as well as the Ekonaut publication intended for beginners in gardening, which will be published in early October. The participation fee for participating in the workshops is RSD 8,000*, and Ekonaut will award 10 scholarships for participants with the highest motivation and/or a more difficult social status. Also, priority in the selection of scholarship participants will be given to participants who have the opportunity to start their own garden already this fall. The selection of participants who will attend this program, as well as those who will receive a scholarship, will be made on the basis of the application forms, that is, the candidate's stated motivation.
The commercial value of this program per person is 24,000 RSD, but thanks to the donors of the "Initiative for Urban Gardening Communities" project, lectures are open to all participants without compensation, the course is offered at a subsidized price of 8,000 RSD and 10 scholarships are available.
