The Green Laboratory is an outdoor classroom, also the first urban garden in the center of Belgrade created within the Worspace Nova Iskra Savamala.
Together with the team from Landscape Factory Studio, Nova Iskra and the Belgrade Flower Festival, we turned a neglected plateau that stretched over 250 square meters into a green oasis. This endeavor has shown how much the way we shape the landscape, on a micro and macro level, affects many factors of our living environment, as well as the fact that it does not take much to make our environment more beautiful and healthy, while positively affecting the microclimate and biodiversity.
The Green Laboratory is an outdoor classroom and a kind of amphitheater for organizing lectures and discussions. It is a testing ground for experimentation, reflection and application of ideas in the field of sustainable development and green economy, especially those that can improve life in an urban environment. It is intended for the education of the professional and general public, as well as programs for children and youth.
