The Econaut Association invites all those interested to register their participation in the online conference dedicated to the planning of green areas, which has been announced for October 19. Through various sessions and discussions, conference participants will be able to learn about current projects that aim to respond to climate challenges in urban areas by encouraging the concepts of urban gardening and sustainable urban planning in accordance with the needs of citizens.
The "Let's plan green areas together" conference is being held online via the Zoom platform on October 19, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. This conference represents a sort of summary of the two-year cooperation of the Econaut association with local associations, decision-makers and professional collaborators in the field of participatory urban planning. Registration to attend the conference is mandatory. You can reserve your place at the conference via the following LINK.

Conference participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the project "Initiative for urban garden communities" within which, in cooperation with partners, citizens and decision makers, Econaut has been working intensively for several years to improve the local green infrastructure. The results of cooperation with local associations, as well as with communities that applied through the "Let's plan green areas together" contest, in order to preserve and improve green areas in their neighborhood, will also be presented. The participants of the event will also be able to familiarize themselves with the publication "Guide to Sustainable Green Areas", which was created with the cooperation of the Association of Landscape Architects of Serbia and the Secretariat for Environmental Protection of Belgrade. The guide is intended for legal and natural persons who want to improve their environment through the implementation of construction and landscaping projects. In a simple and concise way, through concrete examples, this publication shows the necessary steps for establishing a sustainable green area. One of the very important topics at the conference is increasing the city's resistance to climate change by improving the planning process. Representatives of the Association of Landscape Architects of Serbia - UPAS will also share some of the recommendations for the improvement of public policies in the field of green infrastructure (ZI) and the application of the ecological index (EI).
The conference "Let's plan green spaces together" aims to round off the work on the "Initiative for urban garden communities" project, as well as to bring the concept of placemaking closer to the public as a model of sustainable planning of urban areas in accordance with the needs of citizens.
