Momčilo Antonijević is formally educated as a journalist and is the founder of the well-known blog and YouTube channel "Snaga bilja" (The Power of Herbs), which he started to share his knowledge and love for the practice of folk herbalism with others. Thus, his mission for the past 30 years has been to educate people about the power of herbs and bring them closer to nature.
The "Biljarnica" plan is designed to be flexible and interactive. You can attend lectures and practical sessions in person, or if you are unable to attend in person, you can participate online. All participants, whether attending in person or online, have the opportunity to ask questions, which will be answered in the next lecture or through direct communication with the lecturer. So far, more than 150 people from Serbia, the region, and other continents have participated in the "Biljarnica" program, taking advantage of our online program. This season, the number of participants for the in-person program is limited to 25 people, while the online program has no limitations.
During the period from May 23 to July 2023, which is the duration of "Biljarnica," participants will go through a six-week program that includes six lectures and four field trips. The lectures will take place every Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM, and the nature excursions will be conducted on Sundays in interesting areas near Belgrade, rich in wild flora, such as Lipovička Forest or Great War Island.
The program is conducted in the Serbian language.
In addition to learning about the use of wild plants, participants will have the opportunity to learn how to recognize them in their natural habitats, acquire techniques for harvesting and drying, and even learn how to cultivate them. They will also be taught how to prepare infusions, decoctions, tinctures, and other personal-use herbal preparations. They will explore the principles of aromatherapy and other related topics. All participants will be able to rely on the expertise of the mentor, who has extensive experience in gathering and using medicinal herbs, so that after completing the "Biljarnica" program, they will be able to independently prepare herbal remedies.
